Prince Rainer III’s favourite :
The Maserati 3500GT Superleggera is a classic sports car produced by Italian manufacturer Maserati from 1957 to 1964. A favourite of Prince Rainier III of Monaco, the tenor Giuseppe di Stefano, actors Tony Curtis and Rock Hudson, as well as gentleman racing driver Anthony Quinn.

It featured a 3.5-liter inline-six engine that produced up to 235 horsepower and allowed for a top speed of around 137 miles per hour. The car – brainchild of engineer Giulio Alfieri and the Touring coachbuilder - was known for its elegant and aerodynamic design, which was created by Carrozzeria Touring using a lightweight Superleggera construction technique.

The 3500GT was the car that established Maserati as a credible road car manufacturer. Considered as a luxury grand tourer, offering a comfortable ride and ample space for passengers and luggage. The 3500GT Superleggera was produced in limited numbers, with around 2,200 units made over the course of its production run. It is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among classic car enthusiasts.
