Iso Grifo A3/C 1964: A Legend of Historic Racing
Chassis IR-35071, originally delivered as an Iso GT IR 300 in June 1964 in France, was converted into an Iso Grifo A3/C between 1989 and 1990 by Bardelli of Rome. This transformation followed the original factory procedures, including the addition of independent rear suspension and a lightweight fiberglass body. Fully restored to racing specifications under the supervision of Carlo Facetti, it retains its original Bizzarrini components, such as the magnesium competition oil cup and Weber carburetors. Its Chevrolet 327 engine was completely rebuilt in 2021, with only 1 hour of testing and 60 km covered at the 2024 Vernasca Silverflag. The car is race-ready.
This Iso Grifo boasts an impressive history, having competed in prestigious races like the Peter Auto GT Trophy (Paul Ricard, Dijon, Imola, Monza) and having been invited to renowned events such as the Le Mans Classic, Spa Six Hours, Tour Auto, and Chantilly Concours d’Elegance. In 2022, it was honored at a tribute to Giotto Bizzarrini, signed by Bizzarrini himself and his original team of engineers. It also won “Best of Show” at the Cesana-Sestriere Experience in 2022.
With a valid FIA HTP until 2027, this car is eligible for the most iconic historic racing events, including Peter Auto’s Gentlemen’s Challenge, Sixties Endurance, Modena Cento Ore, and more. A rare and exceptional piece of automotive history, ready to excel on track and shine in concours competitions.
