Winner of the 1977 London to Sydney Rally for it class. A unique vehicle with a story to tell!
Built to tackle the grueling London to Sydney Rally of 1977 this Fiat 131S Mirafiori Abarth Diesel was one of three specially prepared by Abarth. This was a race that took no prisoners, covering 30,000 km through some of the most challenging terrain of Europe, Asia and Australia. It not only tested drivers grit but also the cars toughness to survive from start to finish.
This particular car won its class and finished in 15th place overall with drivers Robert Neyret and Marianne Hoepfner. The French team not only showed what diesel cars were capable of at the time but also provided Fiat with excellent publicity resulting in the launching of the production model a couple months later.
This is a car with a unique story to tell. If you would like to own this piece of rally racing history contact Boutsen Classic Cars.
